From bare-metal kernels to backend services.
I’m a Computer Science student at UBC in Vancouver, working across firmware, embedded systems and backend software.
I like knowing what happens underneath. That curiosity has led me to write an x86 kernel and an ARMv8 hypervisor from scratch and build web apps used in production. One example is the website and CMS for the Advanced Thermal Management Laboratory, a research lab at Ajou University. The lab uses them today to manage its own content.
Before returning to UBC, I spent almost two years as a systems administrator at the Suwon Immigration Office in Korea. There, I built an internal Django microservice, automated staff workflows with Python and AutoHotkey, and hardened the security of public-access computers. For taking initiative and setting an example, I received the Commissioner’s Award from Korea’s Military Manpower Administration.
This portfolio is a 3D room with a little virtual OS on its desk, so it needs JavaScript. Here is the short version.
